RV La Marguerite starts first cruise through Vietnam, Cambodia

The RV La Marguerite river cruise ship started its first cruise from Saigon Port in HCMC, taking tourists through destinations on the Mekong River route between Vietnam and Cambodia.

Dang Bao Hieu, vice chairman of the Indochina Sails JSC, the co-owner of the ship, told that most of first passengers are Europeans.

The RV La Marguerite is designed to have a combination of colonial elegance with local artifacts and regional Mekong touches. It is 235 feet in length, 41 feet in width with 46 staterooms and a capacity of 92 passengers.

The wooden floor RV La Marguerite offers such services as restaurant, Sun Deck Bar, spa and fitness center among others.

The company is promoting the eight-day tour from HCMC to Siem Reap or Siem Reap to HCMC as well as pre- and post-tour arrangements combining air travel and river cruising between the two countries with two embarkations, one in HCMC and the other in Siem Reap of Cambodia.

It is also promoting short cruises during three or four nights in October only. There are tours between HCMC and Phnom Penh and tours from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap or Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Price for the three-night tour is US$705 per passenger and the four-night tour is US$939 per passenger.
