Saigontourist launches tour to Singapore for Formula 1

Saigontourist Travel Service Company has just launched a new package tour to Singapore offering tourists the chance to watch the Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix 2009 that will take place in the island country this weekend.

The four-day tour will start on September 25, enabling tourists to watch the race on three days of September 25, 26, and 27. The tour costs from US$579 to US$1,666 for each guest from HCMC depending on the quality of hotel accommodation, from US$599 for each tourist from Hanoi, exclusive of airport tax.

“Prices are different depending on the standards of hotel. The cost of tickets for watching the race in three nights is also included,” said Doan Thi Thanh Tra, Manager of Marketing Department of Saigontourist.

The tour operator pledges to acquire race tickets for tourists and will start the tour even if the company receives only one booking, she said. Guests can contact the company via telephone (84-8) 3827 9279. ext. 2590 for further information.

Earlier, Singapore GP Pte Ltd., the promoter for the Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix 2009, has announced that the number of tickets sold has reached 82% of the announced 249,000-seat capacity, at around 83,000 per day.
