Shan Tuyet tea is a famous specialty of Suoi Giang commune, Van Chan district, Yen Bai province. Located at an altitude of 1,400m above sea level, the climate of Suoi Giang is cool and fresh all year round, very suitable for the hundred-year-old Shan Tuyet tea trees.

The Shan Tuyet tea has a trunk as big as a few people's hug, white moldy color, the canopy is about 20m² wide, the leaves are dark green. The tea leave is big, covered with a layer of fluffy hair like velvet, white like snow (Tuyet in Vietnamese). That's why the tea is called Shan Tuyet (tea is covered with snow on the high mountain).

Shan Tuyet tea has a lot of good effects for the anti-oxidation, helps people stay awake and refreshed... The tea water is like wild honey, after drinking the sweet taste, you can feel the taste of tea lasts a long time.

Shan Tuyet tea has always been ranked at the top of the list of teas. People still say this is the "5 cực" tea. “Cực khổ” (hardship) when planting and harvesting; “Cực sạch” (extremely clean) because of the climatic conditions, the environment and the care of the grower; “Cực hiếm: (extremely rare) because of low production (up to now, although the growing area has increased, each year at most, only about 200 tons of tea buds have been collected); “Cực ngon” (extremely delicious) with all the top qualities that every cup of tea must have such as aroma, bold taste, green water. And because of all four "Cực" above, of course, there are additional "Cực đắt” (so expensive).
