Being invested by the Northern Airports Corporation, constructed and installed by the consortium Taisen-Vinaconex contractors, the T2 passenger terminal is designed to have four floors with a space area of 140,000 square meters, built at a cost of over JPY75 billion (USD960 million), including JPY59 billion from Japan’s ODA loan.

The project is expected to handle 10-15 million passengers per year by 2020, thus improving the quality of passenger service and create a new face of Noi Bai cargo terminal.

After 2020, the Government will consider investment in T3 and T4 terminals in order to raise the Noi Bai airport’s annual capacity to 50 million passengers.
