Lang Co is situated between two major cities of Hue and Da Nang, on the East-West economic corridor; is an attractive destination on Central Viet Nam Heritage Road (Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park - Hue Ancient Capital - Hoi An Ancient Town - My Son Sanctuary).
Lang Co has obtained positive results since it was recognized by Worldbays Club as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Bays in 2009, including significant socio-economic achievements, investment in infrastructure, total tourism receipts which increased by 25% - 30% annually, receiving an average of 95,000 tourist arrivals per year.
Thua Thien Hue Province invested in 6 resort complexes in Lang Co. Lang Co Town has 53 resorts, hotels, motels that supply more than 1,200 rooms together with diverse services of restaurant and entertainment.
Lang Co tourism has increasingly lured major investors. Of these, Banyan Tree Group (Singapore) invested USD 850 million in Laguna Lang Co resort complex area. Some other projects include Banana Beach Resort with a total invested capital of USD 102 million by Banana Beach One member Co., Ltd of Cattigara Group (Singapore); motel system of 60 rooms with a total investment of VND 65 billion by Huong Giang tourism JSC. Additionally, Thanh Tam tourism services Ltd has invested to upgrade, build restaurants and improve quality of services. Another 16 ecotourism projects in Lang Co have also been approved by People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue.
Lang Co tourist area welcomed a large number of tourists, accounting for 16% of total arrivals in Thua Thien-Hue. That Lang Co tourism attracts more and more investors will contribute to developing Lang Co Bay worth with the title of world's most beautiful bays.
