Update: May 29, 2014
On May 26th, vice chairman of Quang Ninh provincial People’s Committee Dang Huy Hau worked with the National Council for Cultural Heritage on building a project on marine heritages.

At the working session, Prof. Dr. Sc. Vu Minh Giang, vice chairman of the National Council for Cultural Heritage proposed the idea on building a project on marine heritages with the participation of Quang Ninh province and several other coastal provinces and cities.

In the northern province of Quang Ninh, the National Council for Cultural Heritage will conduct a survey on cultural heritages in Ha Long bay and Bai Tu Long bay, including the cave system in prehistory and relics in coastal areas dating back 2,000 years. If the project is carried out, it will contribute to diversify tourist products.

Representative of the National Council for Cultural Heritage asked Quang Ninh province to take care for, support and coordinate to create favourable conditions for the project.

Mr. Hau asked Quang Ninh provincial departments, committees and agencies to support the idea of building the project and also asked the National Council for Cultural Heritage to conduct initial studies in the province.
