Restaurants, hotels and resorts in HCM City, managed by Saigontourist Holding Company, offer customers new cuisines with many choices on the occasion of the Liberation Day and May Day

French-style steak at Royal Revolving Restaurant

On the occasion of the Liberation Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), the Royal Revolving Restaurant in downtown HCM City, located on the ninth floor of Royal Hotel, will create the joyous, new atmosphere for clients by a special gastronomic event. That is, any customer who can eat up one royal steak serving within 90 minutes (or one round of rotation of the restaurant) is exempted from VND800,000 (US$38) for the serving.

The event will fall on the nights of April 30 and May 1. To join it, clients must register with the restaurant from April 1 through April 29. The registration fee is VND500,000 and it will be refunded to clients after they finish the French-style steak.

Royal steak is a dish made from Australian beef, a kind of meat with low fat, a lot of protein and iron, and is good for health. The Australian beef is widely exported and is a favorite dish of many people. The royal steak will make diners feel its sweet taste, softness and deliciousness. The three sauces for the dish - pepper sauce, mushroom sauce and wine sauce, will surprise diners because of their exclusive flavors.

On these two days, clients to take dinner at the restaurant are offered a 10% discount and a drink, including wine.

On the occasion of April 30, the Royal Revolving Restaurant will also offer biggest-ever promotions. From March 25 to May 25, it will cut prices of many key dishes to thank customers for their support over the past nine years: 45% discount (down to VND225,000 from VND409,000) for Australian beef dishes, 56% discount (VND550,000 from VND1.25 million) for family meals, 27% discount (VND225,000 from VND310,000) for salmon dishes, and 17% discount (VND375,000 from VND450,000) for barbecue platter (grilled Australian beef, grilled chicken, grilled sausages). In addition, the restaurant gives a bottle of French wine worth VND447,000 for each receipt of VND1.5 million or more.

Barbecue at Palace Saigon Hotel

Those who love the barbecue will have a new choice from later this month when Palace Saigon Hotel launches the gastronomic program Barbecue Well Roasted Meat.

The program is aimed to attract clients in three respects: dishes, the way of ordering dishes (service) and location. First, the dishes are made from superb meat: U.S. cow ribs, lamb thighs and goose. They are seasoned with appropriate spices and grilled over red-hot coals. Meat grilled over red-hot coals is far tastier than meat fried or grilled by a gas cooker. Clients will not have to order dishes by servings but by quantity, from a few hundred grams to several kilograms, and are served at the table. Clients can also grilled the meat for themselves at their wish. The meat dishes are accompanied with fresh bread, butter, sauces, grilled vegetables and bean salads. In addition, clients can make their party more abundant by ordering other grills such as grilled chicken with lemon leaves, grilled cow with lemon grass and grilled squid with oily chili paste.

The barbecue will be served weekly on the nights of Friday and Saturday. This month, diners will enjoy Coors Light beer and accompanying dishes free. Prices of some dishes: lamb rib: VND430,000 for half a kilogram and grilled U.S. cow rib with South Korean sauce: VND330,000++ for half a kilogram.

Southern cuisine at Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Village

On the occasion of the Hung Kingsâ€™ death anniversary, Binh Quoi 1 Tourist Village will serve lunch and dinner buffets with more than 70 dishes on April 12. The buffets, which runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m., goes with live traditional southern music and folk games with prizes. Prices are VND190,000 for an adult and VND110,000 for a child.
