Visiting Hoi An Ancient City by night

People’s Committee of Hoi An City has promulgated the project named “Experimenting expansion of duration and content for visiting Hoi An Ancient City by night” to promote tourism potentials and cultural values of Hoi An Ancient City to domestic and international tourists.

The project has begun since January 16, 2010. Its experimentation duration will last 6 months. After that it will be completed to create a new tourism product for demand of the tourists.

Visiting Hoi An by night, the tourists can contemplate all architecture of the ancient quarter with glistening lantern system and choose themselves 4/13 vestige sites (for Vietnamese) and 5/13 vestige sites (for foreigner) for their route. In addition, the tourists can enjoy traditional art performances at ancient houses, play folk games such as: bai choi, dap noi…, listen folk-songs on wooden barge, make and float coloured lanterns in Hoai River, visit and purchase at the night market in Nguyen Thi Minh Khai and Bach Dang streets. Another tourism product named “The quarter for walkers and rudimentary vehicles” has been offered for the tourist.

The project’s operation time is every night from 19h to 21h30 in the summer and from 18h30 to 21h in the winter. Ticket fare for visiting Hoi An by night is VND40,000/person for Vietnamese and VND50,000/person for foreigner. For more information, please contact with:
