26 countries register to attend Mrs World Pageant 2009

Twenty-six out of 85 countries have registered to send contestants to the Mrs World Pageant 2009, which will be held in the southern coastal province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau in November, according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

During the final round, there will be a 20-minute film about Vietnam broadcast on the Star World TV channel.

The host country, Vietnam, will hold a Mrs Vietnam Pageant to choose 2 beauty queens to represent Vietnam to compete in the Mrs World Pageant.

This is the second time that Vietnam has hosted a global beauty contest, after the Miss Universe 2008 was held in Nha Trang City in central Khanh Hoa Province.
