Ha Noi and Hoi An: The World’s Top Destinations in 2024

(TITC) - TripAdvisor announced their Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best winners which are destinations whose hotels, restaurants and things to do received a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from their community over a 12-month period. Fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence in travel. Ha Noi is in 4th place and Hoi An in 10th place of the World’s Top Destinations this year.

Ha Noi embraces many cultural, historical and architectural landmarks such as Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, Hoa Lo Prison Relic, the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, Hoan Kiem Lake, along with several parks, shady boulevards and more than 600 temples and pagodas add to the appeal of this city. Some of the French-inspired buildings worth exploring during your time in Vietnam include Long Bien Bridge, the Ha Noi Opera House, Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum and the National History Museum.

The charming Vietnamese capital has aged well, preserving the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture, while making room for modern developments alongside, stated Tripadvisor.

Hoi An is located on the Central coast of Vietnam, Hoi An is the ancient town that was once to be the important trading port during the 15th-19th centuries. The town is a well preserved example of architectural interference of Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese. The Old Town is a tropical oasis boasting an extensive coastline, a picturesque countryside, and breathtaking natural vistas. On the 14th day of each lunar month, the town exchanges its electric lights for traditional coloured lanterns. Popular sights include the Japanese Covered Bridge, Quan Cong Temple, Phuc Kien (Fukian) Assembly Hall. When coming to Hoi An, don’t forget to have yourself a tailor make some bespoken clothing.
