Accordingly, users can use VneID accounts for security checks on domestic flights.

With a level 2 identity account, a person’s driving  license, vehicle registration, health insurance card, payment of various electronic bills, financial transactions, government services, and online public services are all integrated. In addition, a level 2 identity account is equivalent to a chip-based ID.

Passengers who join the pilot voluntarily will show their VneID, which could replace the plastic ID card or other travel documents presented to airline staff at check-in and boarding.

It takes approximately 20 seconds for security officers to directly check their information. If a person’s data needs further inspection through QR code scanning, this figure is 24 seconds on average.

Earlier, the use of data stored in the VNeID app to verify passenger identity during check-in and security screening was successfully tested at Cat Bi, Van Don, Phu Bai, and Noi Bai airports from June 1 to August 1 this year./.
