In September 2022, Hanoi welcomed 5 new hotels. Revenue per room in the first nine months of 2022 increased by 60.2% compared to 2021. This is an early sign of recovery with improved occupancy increasing by 15.1%.

According to JLL Vietnam, Hanoi’s tourism industry is forecast to recover sooner than other provinces and cities because the capital is less dependent on the Chinese market, but mainly on the Korean and Japanese markets.

Therefore, the occupancy rate in the period of 2022-2023 will have a higher growth rate than that of Ho Chi Minh City. As planned, 5,617 hotel rooms will be added to the market between now and the end of 2025./.
