Accordingly, the exhibition will take place from November 22 to 27 at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts (VECCA) in Hanoi while the online exhibition will kick off the same day and run until December 31 at the VECCA website at http://trienlamvhnt.vn.

The event will introduce visitors to Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage, including costumes and traditional musical instruments performed in the cultural spaces of the Central Highlands region as well as in Bac Ninh province’s Quan Ho (love duet) singing, and ''Don Don Ca Tai Tu’, a genre of amateur folk music from southern Vietnam.

Works on display will also include documents, photos and artefacts on the worship of the Mother Goddesses of the Three Realms - a traditional practice in Vietnam which was officially recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity in late 2016.

The departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tuyen Quang, Hai Phong, Lang Son, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, and Gia Lai will set up their own stalls to advertise their indigenous cultural heritage, traditional handicraft products, signature dishes and specialties.

The best entries in the national photo contest on cultural heritage, hosted by the Department of Cultural Heritage, will also be displayed on the occasion.

In addition, the event will include a fashion show of Ao Dai (the Vietnamese traditional long dress) and a photo display of Vietnamese traditional crafts and craft villages.
