Vung Tau-Con Dao sea route will get two speedboats in the coming time

Phu Quoc Express JSC, the project investor, will build the two speedboats, which can accommodate 598 passengers each. One boat is expected to be put into service next month, while the other will start operations in April next year.

In Vung Tau City, the boats are scheduled to dock at Cau Da Wharf at No. 9 Ha Long Street, Ward 2, and they will arrive at Ben Dam Wharf in Con Dao Island.

Phu Quoc Express Company has been required to work with the competent authorities to complete the investment procedures and launch the project, as well as ensure the capital allocation as pledged.

Two boats, Con Dao No. 9 and Con Dao No. 10, currently ply the waters between Vung Tau and Con Dao. However, after almost two decades of service, they are now in a state of disrepair, and it takes up to 12 hours for them to connect the two venues.

Once launched, the new speedboats are expected to halve the travel time.
