Vietnamese, Russian youths hold cultural exchange

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) and Lenin Communist Youth Union held a cultural exchange programme in Moscow on December 12 to foster friendship and solidarity.

The event was attended by leaders of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Russia, representatives from the two unions and 400 youths from the two nations.

Addressing the event, Le Anh Duy, Secretary of the HCMYCU’s chapter in Russia highlighted the contribution Vietnamese youths living and studying in Russia have made to fostering friendship between the two countries, saying that through art, cultural, and sport activities, they have introduced Viet Nam to international friends.

The event is a bridge connecting the two nations’ youths, presenting an opportunity for them to learn from and support each other, Duy added.

Yaroslav Listov, Secretary of the Lenin Communist Youth Union, attached significance to consolidating friendship between the two nations’ youths.

The two nations’ youths will contribute to nursing Russia - Viet Nam friendship in the long run, he said.

Viet Nam’s traditional costumes and handicraft, and photos featuring Viet Nam’s landscapes and people were displayed at an exhibition as part of the programme.
