Concert ‘Autumn Bamboo’ to be held in Ha Noi

Music lovers will have an opportunity to enjoy a classic concert titled ‘Tre Mua Thu’ (Autumn Bamboo) at the L'Espace French Cultural Centre in Ha Noi on October 15 at 8pm.

Under the direction of Dong Quang Vinh, the Ha Noi Voices Choir and the Bamboo Ensemble ‘Suc Song Moi’ (New Lease on Life) will perform well-known classical music works, such as “Moonlight” of Claude Debussy; “Pavane” of Gabriel Fauré; “It is well and good” of Pierre Passereau; “Boléro” of Maurice Ravel and “Dance Macabre” of Camille Saint-Saens, as well as a number of Vietnamese folksongs.

Ha Noi Voices is an international choir under the musical direction of Conductor Dong Quang Vinh together with collaborative artist and pianist Claire Shuangshuang Mo. The choir is a group of musical talents who share years of performance experience between them. The singers hail from all different countries around the world and have united together to perform in Ha Noi. Prospective singers auditioned throughout the year.

The Bamboo Ensemble ‘Suc Song Moi’ was established in November, 2013 in Ha Noi. The ensemble’s members play traditional Vietnamese instruments made of bamboo.

The combination between the bamboo orchestra and choir, the traditional musical instruments and classical works, promises to deliver a new breath that will delight fans of classical and traditional music.

Tickets are VND170,000; VND 100,000 for members of L’Espace and VND80,000 for students with a valid ID card. Tickets are available at L’Espace.
