Climate
Viet Nam is located in both a tropical and a temperate zone. It is characterized by strong monsoon influences, but has a considerable amount of sun, a high rate of rainfall, and high humidity. Regions located near the tropics and in the mountainous regions are endowed with a temperate climate.
Ha Noi Climate
Typical weather of north Viet Nam, Ha Noi climate belongs to tropical monsoon temperature type: hot summer with high rainfall and cold winter, rare of rain.
Ha Long City climate
Climate of Ha Long City has typical character of oceanic temperature type with two separate seasons: summer lasts from May to October and winter is from November to April next year.
Sa Pa climate
Influented by temprate and subtropical climate, the weather in Sapa is cool around year. The average temprature is 15ºC. May to August is rainny season. The average rainfall is 1,800mm a year.
Hue climate
The weather is submitted to tropical monsoon climate divided into four distinct seasons: fresh spring, very hot summer, mild autumn and windy, cold winter. The dry season lasts from March to August.
Da Nang climate
Da Nang locates in tropical monsoon zone with high and stable temperature.
Nha Trang climate
Influenced by both of tropical monsoon and oceanic climate, Nha Trang has temperate climate. Average annually temperature is 26ºC, the highest peak in August (29.3ºC) and the lowest point in February (23.9ºC).
Da Lat Climate
(TITC) - With an altitude of 1,475m, Da Lat has temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 17.8ºC, highest in April (19.1ºC) and lowest in December (15.7ºC). The lowest average daily temperature is 15ºC and the highest is of 24ºC. Therefore, Da Lat has four seasons in one day: spring in the morning, summer in the afternoon, autumn in the early evening, and winter at night.
Ho Chi Minh Climate
Ho Chi Minh City has a so-called subequatorial climate with high and stable temperature.
At present there are 54 different ethnic groups inhabiting Viet Nam, in which Kinh (Viet) people make up nearly 90% of the whole population, and 53 other ethnic groups represent over 10%.
